The Commissioner for Community Policing, CP Anatoli Muleterwa, has cautioned students against engaging in drug and alcohol abuse, bullying, gang-related activities, and school strikes, emphasizing the serious legal consequences associated with such behavior.
CP Muleterwa delivered the warning during a crime prevention sensitization session held at Bishop’s Senior School in Mukono on Friday.
The engagement brought together students from various schools across Mukono District, focusing on promoting responsible conduct and raising awareness about crime prevention.
In his address, CP Muleterwa urged learners to uphold discipline, maintain a positive attitude, and remain committed to their education, describing it as a critical foundation for a better future.
“Students must avoid behaviors that put their futures at risk and instead focus on discipline and education as the pathway to success,” he said.
The session also highlighted the dangers of violence and examination malpractice, with students encouraged to stay focused on both their academic goals and personal development.
The sensitization initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen awareness among young people and foster a culture of responsibility and lawfulness within schools across the district.
